I've off-set this lovely Lightning Ridge opal on a reticulated silver disc approximately 2cm wide.  I've added contrasting circles of 18ct gold.  The opal has lovely colour play; contrasting with the oxidised silver. 
 
Supplied on a belcher chain measuring 18". 
 
Opal is said to signify hope and good fortune.  It is also the birthstone of those born in October.
